Assembling Eldar Guardians

The Eldar guardians are the core troop of any army, they are the militia of the Eldar craftworlds, Guardians unlike other Eldar aspect warriors do not specialise in any particular path of warfare and are only called to fight when a Craftworld is on it's last lines of defence. Guardian warriors are armed with Shuriken catapults which fire very fast trail of razor sharp discs tearing through the strongest armour.

I decided that I would assemble my guardians firstly because they were the largest full squadron in the boxed set, secondly I have never owned these units before and thirdly they seemed a lot less complex to build than the vehicles which looked daunting whilst in their sprues.

Each guardian is split up into 5 pieces The head, The torso, The legs, Left arm and Right arm with a total of 10 guardians and 1 weapons platform making up the squad. Assembling the guardians was very simple first I cut each all 10 leg pieces of their sprues and glued them to their base i then removed the heads and torsos and glued these together before attaching the torso to the legs and leaving it to dry, once this had dried the only thing left to do was to glue each arm onto the torso and I was finally done assembling my guardian.

Warhammer 40k Eldar Battalion

Today my Eldar Battalion arrived, This is a boxed set containing various models for the fantasy war game Warhammer 40,000. Warhammer 40,000 depicts life in the 41st millennium where there is only war between many races of aliens and humans and players have multiple choices on which army they collect. Each army has it's own unique background, characters and paint schemes as well as it's own individual play style.
Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop game which allows multiple players to fight battles against one another using complex rulebooks for each army, dice, measuring tape and firing templates, the complexity of the game differs depending on the type of battle being played however some large scale battles such as those played in tournaments can last for hours and players are very pedantic about rules which are sometimes overlooked in smaller games.

The race which I have chosen to collect are the Eldar these are an ancient face of human like aliens who use very advanced technology and sophisticated psychic powers in small numbers to destroy they enemy, since the Eldar lack large numbers they rely solely on strategy to be victorious.

Inside the Eldar battalion boxed set are 12 Guardian warriors and a weapons platform, a War Walker vehicle, a Wave Serpent tank and 6 Dire Avengers however inside the box these models are but small grey parts attached to sprues as they still need to be cut apart and assembled using polycement before being painted and then they are finally ready to fight with.

Manhunt Review

 Manhunt (PC) Review

I recently purchased this game for PC although the game is quite old and was released in 2003 it is an instant classic and never loses its touch.
Manhunt is set in a run-down American town where well organised violent gangs are the law and anything goes. You play as the protagonist James Earl Cash a Death Row inmate who saved from execution and dumped in the run down City. We later learn that Cash was saved by a film producer known as Starkweather. We then find out that Startkweather has the entire city covered with video cameras and through an ear piece he will guide you through the various gang territories and keep you alive. As you battle through the city you encounter various gangs each with their own distinctive appearance and rules. In order to survive you must brutally execute any gangs that stand in your way using items that you find such as a plastic back or a shard of glass from a broken window.
Manhunt is based on stealth and suspense the game will have you at the edge or your seat as you infiltrate Carcer city and it's gangs in order to save yourself from being butchered. The concept of the game makes players think very carefully about how they proceed and attack enemies in order to create the least amount of suspicion. In order to kill an enemy players must sneak behind the gang member and hold their position for a few second with each second that passes a counter changes colour representing the brutality of the execution these are Green - Least brutal, Yellow - Medium, Red - Most brutal. Manhunt indeed contains explicit scenes of violence and gore and is most definitely not suitable for players under 18 hence it's mature rating and game has caused much controversy over the years and is even banned in New Zealand.
Overall I would rate the game 4 stars it has a brilliant plot which thickens as you progress through the levels, also the game has a great amount of gameplay with bonus features added so that players can continue to unlock secrets after completing the main campaign.  However I feel the game could have been improved by adding a multiplayer option and perhaps having an online co-operative campaign.

Overall the game is an all-round brilliant game and will have you gripping your mouse in suspense.

Derp

Well, started University and settling in just fine. Really enjoying working with robots.
My girlfriend has moved over from Wales, so I have been helping her find a suitable flat and get settled, as I'm sure this is quite a big change for her. Insert some comical line about sheep here if you want to, but I won’t, see as she isn’t actually Welsh.
The flat she is moving into is actually really nice, and it has a bath, which she is quite happy about.
She can’t have pets in the flat but we are going to get a pet tarantula, a Mexican red knee to be exact. I can help her look after it because I had one a while back called Bill.
All in all , so far her being in Northern Ireland has made me very happy and I can’t wait to show her around all the places I go to and I’m so glad that I’m the one experiencing this with her.
