Warhammer 40k Eldar Battalion

Today my Eldar Battalion arrived, This is a boxed set containing various models for the fantasy war game Warhammer 40,000. Warhammer 40,000 depicts life in the 41st millennium where there is only war between many races of aliens and humans and players have multiple choices on which army they collect. Each army has it's own unique background, characters and paint schemes as well as it's own individual play style.
Warhammer 40,000 is a tabletop game which allows multiple players to fight battles against one another using complex rulebooks for each army, dice, measuring tape and firing templates, the complexity of the game differs depending on the type of battle being played however some large scale battles such as those played in tournaments can last for hours and players are very pedantic about rules which are sometimes overlooked in smaller games.

The race which I have chosen to collect are the Eldar these are an ancient face of human like aliens who use very advanced technology and sophisticated psychic powers in small numbers to destroy they enemy, since the Eldar lack large numbers they rely solely on strategy to be victorious.

Inside the Eldar battalion boxed set are 12 Guardian warriors and a weapons platform, a War Walker vehicle, a Wave Serpent tank and 6 Dire Avengers however inside the box these models are but small grey parts attached to sprues as they still need to be cut apart and assembled using polycement before being painted and then they are finally ready to fight with.
